I'd be happy to receive my color hardcopy signed by the author himself in Scottsdale later this year!
Best luck with the final work!

I'm in for a full-color hardcover as well.
Best of luck in getting this work completed. It's a thankless, and often unremunerative job.

pruebas Thank you for the support and thanks to everyone else who has written.
I really never expected the book to make any real money - I was hoping to break even by paying for mileage and out of pocket costs.
I am doing this to tell the story I heard from the old forger who made 8Rs in the 1920s. I also know I am fighting against the establishment who simply don't believe it happened. I expect they will attack just to shut me up. But I love a good fight - always have.

Colonialjohn is fine. During the summer months I tend to stay away from coins and hit the outdoors (i.e., beach) - since I am an obsessive collector this is good therapy. Can't speak for Bob but I am all in for the Mexican Numismatic Association Conference in October 2014 and I know Bob at this time is a scheduled speaker. The MNA in October in Scottsdale Arizona we will at least discuss the book or MAYBE? it will be ready to launch at this get-together. Its soon the launching of the book. In September at a Colonial C4 type gathering (private affair) I will be presenting an overview of coins from my collection and present a paper to be published of the four GNL Classes with (15) represenative coins. There will be a in-depth discussion of the Class 2 coins which are the most controversial in terms of "Why debase a CC8R only by 5-10%? Makes for interesting reading. Again what makes this book so interesting is that EVERY PAGE is NEW and some ideas are certainly controversial. Other than typical attribution books there are not many numismatic books today that you read today and every page is fresh and new in their thoughts and its not just a compilation of information being grabbed from already existing information ... in the end ... YOU be the judge. As I said ... this book will set the standard for contemporary counterfeits for the next 50 years ... who is hard selling/pushing? ... John Lorenzo United States

You guys are welcome to sell and/or display the book from my table in Scottsdale.
I'm sharing a table there with a young dealer from Mexico City and we would welcome the company.
If you'll have the book ready next week, I can bring a few copies down to the Mexico City show (10-13 Sept) to sell.

The book is ready to go in paperback form anyway. I finished proof reading the first printed copies of the book from Amazon just today. I have to remove several typos and make a couple updates because of new data. But they are all complete. The procedure to print a 600 page book was far more complex than I ever expected. The book looks nice printed and the photos in B&W are good - not as great as the color ones that can be enlarged, but good enough to make most points. The discs will have to be ordered separately for people who order paperback because Amazon does not do discs. The Hardbound book will be out about 30 days from the final text approval (tonight if all goes well). That means I will be able to bring a few to AZ and take orders at the meeting there and then by e-mail after that. Even the discs have proven to be more time consuming than I had expected. I am about ready to go there too. I expect to be working right up until we leave for AZ. Kindle will be available about the time we are in AZ as well. Lots of details to go through with every step at Amazon. But ultimately we will be able to reach the entire world. Of course I am also trying to relocate my home right at the same time. The new house will be done Sept 20th and we have to be out of Benson by October 1. Tight schedule for my age. I hope that everyone recognizes the work that goes into this and that it is just the opening gun in what may be a protracted battle to prove to the establishment that silver counterfeits were in fact made - however the XRF tests support my theories on trace markers and it appears we will also get backing from RTI International on doing ongoing tests for gold silver ratios within the month. Any questions just ask.

pruebas Thank you for the offer that would be nice. I have no clue about the procedures for doing this but it will give us some place to sit.
Thanks again for your kind offer.

Amazon does not distribute hardbound books they print. That was a surprise. They do paperback sales directly through all normal channels but they informed me that I was the only person who could order hardbound copies. So all orders for that version have to come through me. That will allow me to attach the discs and to number each copy as they are sent out, so there is an upside. But I need to get a stamp for the front page. They would not allow ANY change in text (between the paperback and hardcover versions) even one lines like: ___ of ___ copies. So I have to get a stamp and I will sign the book beneath that indication to show it is part of the first issue. That is the best that I can do. At least they agreed to print it.

Excellent news Robert ! It's nice to have hardbound ones numbered/signed actually, we are collectors after all :D Just wait to know how much you print before making the stamp ;) (you could also do pre-order so you can buy those without breaking your bank account ... I would be in)
