MD. I've seen so many of those that I'm surprised when I see a 72 that doesn't have a shelf on the 2.. hmm.. there's a thought: maybe the real rarity in 72 is coins that don't show MD on the date!

Flat shelf like doubling on the date is machine damage. It may also be a Master die doubling example. I see the inside loop on the 2 in the date. On the other devices you might see the other master die doubling?
