Here is (yes another) 1884-0 Morgan with an easily identifiable VAM. Can you determine which variety it is.

Could it be a VAM 23 Dbl 1 4 in date sure lokks it from photo

It does look like doubling in the date, but I also see some marks of some sort above the eagles head, hard to tell.

Here are a couple of close-ups which may be able to assist in determining which VAM the coin is. Plerase forgive my pics, the camer is an older handheld (Sony MVC-FD91, with the 3.5" disk) and a handmade macro lens. It is a little shakey LOL...

What are the diagnostics of VAM 10 for us guys who don't know much about them.

Particularly, an O/O overstrike with a curved, almost s-shaped line inside the mint mark. This one is sometimes referred to as an O/CC because of that shape. It's visible in Bonedigger's detail pic. Additionally, the date is "far," exactly 3 full denticles from the point of the neck.

It's a Hot-50 VAM.
