What you guys and gals think of my silver? It's junk and ones that may grade up to VG. From top of my head: 3 Morgans 50+ Silver Dimes 18+ Silver Qaurters 1 Silver Half Dollar You can probably count them in the pictures

Gotta love it! I know "junk silver" is the term most people use, but I think I'm becoming of of those guys who prefers to call it "constitutional silver." I don't want to open a whole can of worms with the whys and wherefores ... I just like the way it sounds! 'Merica!
The real "junk" is the pot metal tokens we trade around as change today...

I have roughly the same amount of accumulated U.S. junk silver; got a rough idea of it's value, but I haven't a clue what to do with it.

Nice start! In my opinion, there are only two kinds of "junk silver" coins. Those that would grade below G4, and Washington's & Roosevelt's that would grade below MS60.

Thanks for posting everyone! I have five silver War Nickels. When handling them I am careful so they don't mark themselves up or drop any. No idea what my lot I posted is worth but probably around 300. The shiny ones are still inside 2x2's because I didn't want to damage them up. Its just I would rather have the low grades than the MS ones. (Got like Eight common date Mercury dimes in Ms) It's only for my personal collection where I do not plan on ever selling unless I have to. Even if silver jumped I wouldn't sell any of the coins. Trying not to buy more dimes but I can get 500 Mercury dimes on ebay. It's just 939.00 dollars is a little too high over melt. If ebay does the 13% back then maybe.

At a flea market I go to a seller had a similar pile. I found a 1942D/41 Mercury dime in that pile and got it for $1.
