This was an early purchase, and the seller said the hairlines were from cabinet friction. I'm not so sure anymore. Any thoughts?

AU-55 details. I don't know what caused those scratches, but I do know they aren't cabinet friction and would probably result in a details grade.

I still like her, nice seated half.

Thanks for the feedback! Despite the scratches, I do like the slight contrast on the obverse, and the overall luster.

What caught my eye were the halos around the stars on the obverse. May indicate an earlier cleaning.

Yeah, maybe. What I never understood though is why the obverse would be marked up and not the reverse. The toning is the same on both sides. Though maybe they did a better cleaning on the reverse.

AU-details. It is unusually dark, I wonder if the dark crust that has developed on this coin was added artificially to help mask other defects.
