You can't have an aftermarket higher price coin, if dealers still have many in stock at issue, they will split the 30% RCM dealer discount between TSC. The problem most of us have with this issue is the RCM's ad where it say's clearly only 350 sets worldwide. Received loonie yesterday from CCC, it was #5

Good thing I didn't blow all my cash before the release of the insanely huge new 5Kg silver "coin". All I have to do is sell my car, my wife's car, and my motorcycle, and I might be able to afford the $10,500 price tag. Second thought, I am going to pass on this one. I'd really love to see the coin collection belonging to anyone that actually buys this coin. I'd bet it looks better than most coin shops.

You know, even though this 5kg coins theme is admireable, if they did a 5kg loonie, it will probably sell out.

How many average coin collectors have that deep pockets? I'll be very surprised if this 5Kg frisbee or any other with the same mintage and price sells out.

It's amazing those kilo gold coins do sell, that is why it seems there are many tiered MC members.

For less than $3325 worth of silver, the $10500 price tag seems pretty steep. At today's spot, $10500 would get you 508 oz vs. 160 or so in this "coin". Just saying.

I agree with previous comments.
I watched for very first time the Shopping Channel TV and what most shocked me was the fact that he touches with his hands every single coin. Hee is supposed to be a coin expert and that's not the way to teach the beginners how to treat the coins.

Re: coin handling on the tv - Ah...me thinks it's all about selling the goods...it's not intended as a guide on how to handle coins...and given the speed or pace of the coin show...white gloves in hand could easily result in slippage and drops and that would look and be quite unpleasant for both the potential buyer and casual coin loving viewer. Imagine dropping the big coin loonie and then retrieving it from the studio floor as it rolls away from the camera eyes only to reframe in hand for the viewer with a dent or chip - coin blooper moment but very bad for business.

I don't care that he wants to sell as much as possible. What we care is to not receive HIS SUPER MANIPULATED coins.

But this is numismatics vs pure business. Or you like the coins, or you concentrate only on these, which is possible to resell for nice premium. Actually both together are possible. But you can't compare "keeping nice item" against "making good money" Not only Australian wedge tailed Eagle, but some more are great from the business perspective ( I bought this Eagle bullion BU for $29 and happy with design).

That's valid point, agree....
But for the kids, I don't think, that they have to be in the same hobby, the best wish, that they could do some money on this collection, and not will remain with bunch dusty and useless coins, that need to make an effort to sell them for melt.

Just opened my giant loonie. Awesome looking coin. I am staying in the sub for my $3300. Regarding kids, my 10 year old daughter is totally hooked on coins as I have taken her to local coin shows and got her bags of worthless foreign coins. She looks them up on the internet and sorts them into various animal categories. The local coin folks give her freebies as she is the cutest 10 year old you have ever seen.
