This coin is a dead on match except it does not have the listed marker of a reverse Cud. Coppercoins does not include pics of the Cud and the ebook does for stages b-d. It does not show pics of stage a. I am assuming that this coin is a very early die state before the Cud was formed. That being so, does this coin technically meet the criteria for the Top 100? My assumption is that it does since the obverse is the correct so the die is correct. Opinions-experts....

The reverse die may have been changed. It looks a lot fresher than the obverse die.

Boy do I like this one, 1909S-1MM-001. This is an upgrade to an extra fine in my collection. I really put in a low bin on the coin not expecting to get it, but, yahoo, they took the offer. Got a little woodie going on as well. Haven't quite got the shooting closeups through a slab yet.

1946S-1MM-003 1DR-002. I will try to upgrade this one at some point, but for the time being it will fill a hole. I struggled with the DDR on this one for awhile, couldn't decide 002 or 004 until I was able to pick up the marker between the N and T in cent.

I found a OBW roll of the 1946-S years and found several in that roll. I've got them put away somewhere.

Your 1940-S looks like an early die state. I think you are right and it was very early in production. I disagree with the reverse die being changed. The reverse die shows that the spacing is off a bit, yet detail like the bowtie and ear on Lincoln as well as other details seen only on early die states clearly shows. If this had been a late die stage then Die Deterioration would have left much softer detail

One more down, 1942D-1MM-002. I have 31 to go and it gets harder every day to find them.
