I got an e-mail from the Mint on Friday that my clad set, which was listed on backorder when I ordered it on the 3rd, shipped! Hopefully it will be in today's mail.

I just read on coin news net that the product limit was lowered from 300 K sets to 225 K sets. 73 % limit sold now. Looks like maybe a sell out shortly. Interesting.

I saw that as well. I'm wondering if it'll even get to 225k.

I would think the lowered mintage would only be good news for those that bought this set right?

Absolutely, this set will explode upon sell out! With in one week of lifting the 5 set limit they sold 20k+ more sets. This set is going to be the hottest thing since the 2011 ASE set!

I agree the set has potential but I don't know about the exploding thing. This is the 1st unique Kennedy half set so there is no history to go by but I will use the ASE, which has a large collector base, as an example.

2012 SF set with a reverse pf and a unique S mint coin (mintage just under 250k)...Mint price $149.95..raw price now..around $189

2013 West Point ASE set (mintage around 235k) ith a RP and an EU coin..sold for $139.95..now around $189.

The problem is the initial huge orders and flooding of the market kills the potential for the coins for years.

We will see what happens here.

Probably because of the 75k returns

You are probably right. It may be safe to say they destroy the returned damaged sets.

I got mine. Nice set except the dang holders grasp the capsules way too tight.

I finally received my clad set yesterday. I like it. A nice complement to the silver set.

OK, just re-purchased the silver set. Paid for quicker shipping. Grabbed my Everglades rolls as well. So now I will see if I can get an acceptable set.
