The mint validated that there were a high number of returns for the '13 set. I wonder if that will ever translate into a bump on the FMV price? I consider myself lucky to make my money back the 2013 sets that I sold. I've kept two for myself, because they are a nice looking set.

I still have the 2013 sets that I've ordered. I haven't sold any, not sure current market prices for these.
So, who will order the 2014 set? Anyone has actual pictures yet?

A 2013 LE set sold yesterday for $126 with free shipping...less than issue price
I don't see the 2014 being a profit maker....

Unless the packaging is significantly superior than all previous sets.

Just got an e-mail from the mint saying the set is now available: Limited Edition Silver Proof Set 2014I think I'm gonna pass again this time around. Can't get over the fact that it's basically just the same coins with different packaging...

Save your money and get a couple of the March of Dimes 3 coin sets in may for the same price (less)

I got that e-mail and will also pass. I have some more important things to get this year (like the set mentioned above).

At first (and quick) glance, the packaging doesn't look any different to me. I guess they wanted to improve the quality as opposed to change up the style?

Sorry, I meant the coins in the Limited Edition Set are available separately outside of the set for less. You don't get any special coins in the set that you can't get elsewhere -- you just pay a massive premium to have them put together in a nice package.

@barryg, yeah I got your meaning. I was just saying that the packaging, while they say they've changed it, doesn't look any different from the 2013 set.

Ah, gotcha. I thought you were responding to my comment about it being basically just the same coins with different packaging...

This is a set where you are definitely paying for the package. I have no problem paying more for a package, like the Coins and Chronicle sets, but this set does not interest me.

Quote: I have no problem paying more for a package, like the Coins and Chronicle sets... The packaging in this set really doesn't provide much other than a deluxe presentation, whereas the C&C sets (and even the American Legacy sets of last decade) offer historical information and information about the coins themselves.
