I know there is some heated discussion elsewhere, but like it or not, it's happening.

Reagan-$1-Design-Candidates

Can't say I really like any of them initially. Maybe 02 or 03.

By the way, I took this screenshot from:

I'm not really that late of a fan of any of the portraits they have been using in the program so far though I still collect them at face for some reason. I guess I like how shiny they are and how difficult it is to find good ones in circulation.

Not sure how they could have made him look any older in these. Granted, he *was* old when he was in office.

Legend has it that he was a bit of a clown and 07 looks rascally and like it was based on a photo just after the "I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever" incident.

I won't collect dollar coins until there is NO edge lettering. I like to be able to see the date and mint mark.

Well, If I have to pick from one of those. I guess it is the side view #4

I like 07 best because it has the most personality. I don't like Reagan but I always appreciate an interesting portrait - solemn profiles are so last-century.

I like Reagan

But not crazy about theses choices. I am glad he will make it to a coin.

If I had to pick ....I would go with 5 or 8

...Those are quite unfortunate looking portraits. 07 if given the choice.

02 just has too much sag! Lol. I would go with 06. Maybe add a bowl of jelly beans in hand of lady liberty instead of the torch.

For me it would be either #1 or #3 pending they fixed his eye. it looks like the right eye is sagging on both coins. I also like #2 as well.

I'm not a big fan of any of them, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with #3 or #6. They're probably the best of the limited versions.

Those are terrible.
Don't do him justice at all.
7 is the only one I can stand.

#1 and #3 are the best in my book. They are modeled from a well-known official photo of the president.

But really, none of these are really that good. It's amazing how they can't find a better artist to do this. There are plenty of artists out there who could do a better job.
