Thanks Silveroid,
I have searched the 50cent Edward coin on sale at Gatewest for 39.95 I will be buying the double date old QEII effigy 2003, Not a fan of the Effigy series either, surprisingly, bad designs. And 1911-2011 SD for the Geo VI.
It is interesting to note the 1915 5 cent coin is smaller than a dime (15.5 mm and 1.17 grams) and they are making a replica 1 ounce, 38 mm.

Excellent CC-Ottawa. Seems like there was more 92.5% silver going around back then, hate paying taxes (on coins), just did for the 2010 75th Anniv SD. You get all QEII effigies at once with that set. Low mintage and a decent price for 4 coins. You also get different reverse designs of the 50 Cent piece. Another one for the Wish List - thanks again. Wish list is getting long.

So the fish and the nickel coins are parts of series. Both come with what appear to be nice wooden boxes. Turns out the nickel are 400mm and weigh 31.83 grams. The fish are standard 38mm and 1oz. Fish are 4 coins @ $400 and mintage of 6500. Nickels are 6 coins @ $660 and mintage of 8500. The fish are almost certainly commissioned based on the packaging shown on ebay. I like fish so I think I will go with that set but kind of disappointed that there is no musky. Maybe they will issue it as a 5oz after all.

I am really on the fence, I LOVE the KGV effigy's and would love to have the nickel, but 2 things are holding me back. I told myself I had to stop buying NCLT, the bottom drops out more times than not. (I hate losing money) I would have preferred to see them do a set like the penny, I get making them larger so that you can see the design better, but the cost is so much higher. If they thought that making them the correct size (the first coin smaller than a dime) would be too small, then they could have made the first coin the same size as the rest.
Maybe I will allow myself one treat this year?
The Case is to be shipped with the 2nd coin, and looks like the original O Canada box (wooden)

Full on 40 mm coins at 1.02 ounces. Big canvas to work with, a box early in the series, these will fly. Imagine the Robert Bateman hare. It will be nice at 40 mm. As well the V and Sudbury nickels. A bit of an investment at $900.

They will be impressive in the box and some classic designs (the hare especially) but I just don't see it for $110/coin and a high mintage of 8500. If they were not gilded and $90-95 each or had a mintage of 5k, I'd be interested. I think these will be like the Big Coins. Lots of hype and interest but in the end not really sold out and available at issue price months after release. I just hope they are not yet another Bromberg product only because IMO, he manipulates the market like a carnival barker. PS I assume this will officially ramp up the "end of the nickel" rumours. Added: I think the Victory (like this pic from ebay of the 2005 annual report coin) will be nice but I doubt it will be 12 sided.

6 Coins at $150 per. $900.
As per the Pre-order in the e-bay ad.
Would be 90% of MC in one purchase.
Like Big Coins but in 1 ounce.

But why would you pay 150 on ebay when they are 109.95 each from the Mint?

Now I know, what a cryptic thread. First 40 mm then 38 mm now 40mm, $149, now $110. Lots of 2nd hand info being thrown around. And all of it not accurate. So please understand my bad math. Would be nice if a moderator put up the real ad for the series.

Ah got it. Info (my posts and others from today) is from the Mint Rep e-mails. I assumed you also had seen the e-mail so I thought maybe I missed something. Unfortunately, despite being on ebay and other forums, this particular forum won't allow us to post the actual ads from the Mint.

Still a bit early for the Mint to release for general consumption, I guess. I have MC status as well but am not privy to all that early release info. Have sent them e-mails but I may as well be whistling in the wind.
