I still chuckle whenever I see you post a large cent nickelsguy.... I always ask myself, "Why do you have that thing in your collection?"

Mikey: Dan wrote a nice CNA Journal article about that Obverse. The Chinese copied the Obverse but didn't get it quite right. There IS an actual coin, though that has that Obverse. Why they put that Reverse on it, I don't know.

I wish I had some time to add some photos of some truly hard to find die pairs (Perhaps next week) For those interested in the Haxby site, we have been updating the die state tables for all die pairs and making charts more smart phone compatable which truthfully has been a rather monumental task. Most of the die pairs up to obverse 30 are done. There is also two new reverses that have been discovered in recent months added today. Reverse E26c and Reverse F4 are new. (Former F4 is now F4a)
Many have suggested that there are 400+ die pairs. While that may ultimately prove true, currently as of today there are 104 documented obverse dies, 213 documented reverse dies and 236 known/documented die pairs. That means there are more to be discovered which makes the hunt extra fun. Yet since the site went live in Dec 2012 there have been only about 10 new dies identified which at least means any others are either rare or hard to indentify.
If you want a challenge try to find these PC59-141, PC59-241, PC59-351, PC59-681. They are far far more difficult to find than the much more common DP9#1 or DP9#2. Enjoy the hunt. ed
