St. John's College Note - 1 Cent - Coin Community Forum

I acquired it as part of a German emergency money collection and it fascinated me. My understanding is that it was used as a kind of teaching aid (I'd call it a prop) for an economics course. Anyone have more context for these kinds of banknotes? I also understand there is a book on this. The author is ? Schiljoth ? Again, any clues on the book author or title? thanks!
