I have the $50 in my till shld I add it to my collection? Are they rare? Worth more than face?

Not rare, but I'm keeping all the old bills that I get and I will continue to do so until it becomes inconvenient. LOL

Check here for print runs. http://www.uspapermoney.info/ Click on 'serial number table' and from there you can click on a lot of the different notes.

The bill you have isn't terrifically special, but it is in decent shape, so keep it if you want it. I doubt you could sell it for a premium at this time.

They were not rare at their time but today I'd consider them uncommon in circulation. They aren't becoming more popular. I'd keep it to look at, but from an investment standpoint, not worth holding on to.
