This is a note from St. John's College in Minnesota. I acquired it as part of a German emergency money collection and it fascinated me. My understanding is that it was used as a kind of teaching aid (I'd call it a prop) for an economics course. Anyone have more context for these kinds of banknotes?

I also understand there is a book on this. The author is ? Schiljoth ? Again, any clues on the book author or title?

thanks!

Paul

With a little hunting I actually found the book that someone mentioned to me on Amazon. It is:

College Currency: Money for Business Training Hardcover â€" June, 1993
by Herb Schowgoethe

Ordered it already.

I am Ephesus.........sort of makes me sound like a megalomaniac doesn't it?

I had never even heard of college notes so I find it intriguing. Can't wait to get the book I mention above.

Ah, makes sense now!

I did some digging as well and have come up empty handed. Hopefully you'll get the info you're looking for in the book.

The only hint of a college banknote like this I could find was:
http://www.obsoletecurrency360.com/...-Currency-MN

it was not well indexed by Google so it took a very specific search to even locate that.
