Hi. I would like to share this coin. It was struck about 125-100 BC, mint ARSE (Iberic city north of Valencia, mediterranean spanish coast), later roman SAGVNTUM and at present Sagunto. On the obverse we can see a dolphin with crecent above, letter A (in iberic alphabet) and three points (mark of cuadrans during roman republic)below. Weight 3,1 grs. diameter 15,4-15,7mm References: Vives XIX-9; Guadan 207.

That's really cool. I've got a couple Castulo coins around that have gotten me into Iberians, but I hadn't seen one of these. I really like the shell.

Thaks for welcome. About my avatar, it is a "verraco" (in english may be "father pig". They are sculptures of boars and bulls in granite that dot the former Vettones region (where I am from), they were pre-celtic tribes before romans arrived. These "verracos" are the characteristic feature of these tribes. My avatar is a wild boar, it is from Gallegos de Argañán a very small town west of Salamanca. v.
