You right Northerncoins, also the amount of sets vs other toys should be considered.

This could be good for the fans, but not for the Mint (if it is coins), since totally not ethical to have the profit on the "memory of dead person" even if it is memorabilia. Not so short after the death.....1 year after will be OK.

Maybe so , but how long after JFK was dead did they pump out massive amounts of "Memorial Coin/tokens/medallions" ?

Kennedy died Nov. 22, 1963, the Kennedy 1/2 Dollar came out March 1964.

Has anyone heard anything about these coins being shipped? Ordered mid Feb, shipping was supposed to start last Friday.

I did find this pic of an actual coin on ebay which is encouraging.

Received mine today.Looks nice.The red comes out good on the coin.Had ordered from the mint on the first day it was on their site but cancelled and ordered from the PO for free shipping.

I think, the coin is worth it's price, from the collector's point of view.
But "can't go wrong for this price" I believe it should be priced as face value or PM content value.

Hope I wrong, but low price will not make it more popular.
The same, like you will not buy souvenir piece of plastic with Canada flag on it, non coin collector will not buy silver coin with Canada flag on it.
