The RCM clearly states in most cases that 100% satisfaction is guaranteed. Meaning, even if the coins look perfect and the box so much as smells funny, you can return them. Regardless of the price, every item send out should be perfect.

Fabulous pics smilodon The Mint could benefit from your photographic techniques and superb lighting style to not only capture the image accurately but to in fact enhance it...top notch!

Thanks electrum! Macro photography is a hobby of mine, this is first time I've shot coins. Hopefully RCM scouts check these forums, I could use a second income to pay for my photo subjects!

WOW! Those photos are amazing Smilodon. You obviously have a real eye for detail. I now have an even greater appreciation for these coins especially the Gold Singing moon mask. Well done.

I am returning 4 sets to the Mint (mailed it back yesterday). I didn't intended to order/own that many sets, I just placed multiple orders (via my Rep and then via online) and didn't cancel in time before they ship the sets.
Out of 6 set, only two sets are acceptable (no major/distracting spot on the antique finish or obvious pot of missing enamel or wavy pattern of enamel). No, I didn't swab any coins among the sets. Conclusion: You may get a good sets by just ordering 1, but the odd is against you (2 good out of 6 is the ratio for me.)

I actually only want 1 good set but after reading many post and looking through all the sets carefully, I decide to keep the spare set just in case anyone want it - I was feeling I would have waste the good set if I was to return it.
May be I should put the spare set up for sale at my cost + $50 premium?

Did someone show the coin set to non collectors family and friends? What was the reaction and impression?

Just wanted to be sure, that the spots will not appear (since unlike other mints Antique finished coins, here the finish was applied manually coin by coin), observed 3 coins - all ok. To change the look, switched between coins in the box. This is really nice set, and for sure will be sell-out in RCM. Checked their stock - only 394 units. Low stock! What did you do for your set today?

Funny thing... just yesterday, a family member who doesn't come by much visited. As she used to collect NCLT coins, I showed her my most recent acquirements. As everything in my display cabinet was from September 2014 or newer... she focused in on the 3-coin mask set and was very intrigued. Though she was impressed with the Glow in the Dark Star charts... the masks were better appreciated.

Quote: Checked their stock - only 394 units. Low stock! Over the past couple of weeks, this set has been selling about 4 sets per day (on average). Some days a few more, on at least one occasion just one all day. At some point it will likely sell out, but not because of "hot" demand. If that was the case, it would have sold out long ago. It looks to be an interesting and attractive set - I sincerely hope those that purchased it enjoy it. We all need to collect what we enjoy!
