The gold walking liberty and standing Liberty will go the same way with profiteer getting the bulk of the coins leaving the collector behind

I logged in at noon and was able to buy 2 'dimes' (one for me and one for the wife) and complete the transaction by 12:07. I probably won't be able to afford either of the other two coins. Once again all the online dealers have 'hired' people (at $250 or $500) to minimize the chances the average collector could have to buy directly from the mint. I think the dimes and quarters will be scarce until the halves are released. Then the online dealers will be offering the three coin sets, with first day of issue and proof-like labelled holders, at extremely inflated prices.

I logged on and grabbed one on my lunch break. I haven't spent that much money on a coin in a lloonngg while. But it did grab my fancy. Seeing bought prices on ebay in the 330 range... that'd be a solid profit but very undecided. Wished I had the finances to buy more to flip... but on second thought maybe not... still undecided.. We'll see when I have it in my hand.

I suggest anyone who didn't get one contact Vault Wholesale and Penn Metal to state your dissatisfaction. They are part of the reason these sold out so quick. They paid people to buy coins for them so collectors couldn't buy them from the mint and have to pay their inflated prices to get one. I get it that people want to make a buck but IMO it's pretty shady for companies to do that. Although the mintage was high, the household limit was set too high.

And before you email gets ignored and deleted they will take you email address and Google free email list signup and enter your email address into several hundred databases to be sold. Shady joke of the day email lists are the best. At least that is what I do to everyone that leaves us unnecessary negative ebay feedback and make accusations about bait and switch and calling us conmen at work because they didn't bother to read the description or call the toll free number first to see if the part was compatible with their unit or read the "NOT INCLUDED" listed several places in 10X the regular font and in red in the text. But feel free to email them and let them know how you really feel.

Wow remind me to not do business with your organization. I understand ignoring the note but signing people up for junk is ethically wrong IMO.

X said maybe it will fall into my lap next week I don't have to go out and be pro active and wait in line on day one like everyone else. And because X didn't get their current state of the world "Entitlement" they should go and harass and threaten and what have you someone or some business who woke up one day and got the stuff in order. And back to my original post if you are searching ebay for a $1000 item and you see an accessory that fits said $1000 item listed for the retail value of $10 and can't ask yourself "A $1000 item for $10 I better make sure I am reading this correctly" and the description clearly states it is an accessory and not the item and there are multiple color coded and BOLD disclaimers and some jackwagon buys it and then immediately accuses you of defrauding them because they can't comprehend English and makes threats of contacting the Better Business Bureau before you can even respond to them and tell them no problem they made a mistake we will cancel the sale then YOU deserve exactly what YOU get. You must be this smart to use the internet. I almost wish people had to take a test to prove that they have enough common sense to be online and not get identity thefted by Nigerians and jacked left and right and waste the rest of the educated peoples time when they call and say "I Googled Coin Forum New York and you came up and had a toll free number and what do you mean the forum is is based all over the world. You said you were in New York" and then want to fight with you for 20 minutes because they don't understand how the internet and the real world works.

I'm in the same boat barryg, hopefully when they produce more we will get lucky. And they aren't sold out, just currently unavailable.

barryg/perotti: They'll probably run the 4:30 am PT/7:30 am ET good morning batch specials like they did for the Truman and Ike CC sets of last year. Canceled credit cards, duplicate orders, orders over the HH and the hundreds of coins from the wholesalers that didn't pass the cherry picking inspection.

Quote: Does that mean the US Mint fully expected most orders to be for the house hold limit? I have no idea what they were thinking, let alone expecting.

Straight from the horse's mouth: "The status of the Mercury dime 2016 Centennial Gold Coin will remain as currently unavailable until all order reconciliations and order cancellations have been processed."
