looks like a clip to me,especially nice on a 43. I'm not seeing the rpm. I think the numbers and rim are a result of the clip.

thanks ,I was hopping on the clip, is hard to get a good picture of the mint mark.

Usually a clip doesn't look like that. I think it is fake. Wait for more opinions.

No evidence of the Blakesley effect, therefore most probably PMD.

But everyone is missing something on this one. Note how the edges of the rim taper down. If this was PSD then that area would not taper down hear the ends of the rim. Real deal.

I agree with Coop, not every clipped coin will have the Blakesley effect. Looks like the real deal to me and a good one to have.

As for the date looking different, I think it is a 1945-P not a 1943. Also to add the metal will flow toward the clip and will not fill in the die properly giving a weak strike near the clipped edge.
