Found my first one last night, finally nailed down a positive attribution with Coops help. I just found my second this afternoon in a little better condition and slightly earlier die state.

Shouldn't the doubling be on the other side of the 2?

No, but they did come from the same Ziploc bag.

I am finally getting around to searching my 18 year hoard. I have acquired 338 1972's in normal circulation since I started hoarding cents back in 1997. I am about half way through them still hoping to find the big one. (Which I doubt that I will since it would have jumped right out when I sorted them out.)

Just found my third 1DO-003. I am enjoying this, but I hope the next find is a different die pair.

So even the fact that 1DO-003 at Lincoln Cent Resource is doubled on the opposite side of the 2 from this one doesn't change the attribution? Lincolns are odd.

Not sure what you mean by the other side of the 2. It is a clockwise die rotation, so one 2 is just slightly above/below the other. Years of circulation and mushy die state can make things tricky.

I may not be seeing it right. To me, it seems like the lesser stroke (the doubling on the 2) is to the left on your coin. Given the wear I could easily be wrong.

Ok I can see the doubling in the date now but barely but am I wrong is that not MD on the 1 and 9?
