Haven't seen the pictures yet (now will navigate to RFD). Decided, that it not my theme and the mintage very high... P.S.: Perth Mint released the 2015 Wedge Tailed Eagle 1oz Proof (again after 2014), mintage 5000. Ordered it....at least amazing++ design.

Except for the Gold Looney Tune coin none of the coins will ever increase in value or even hold its value. You can probably get them for 50% off list price by end of the year or sooner. 12,500 mintage for the 1 oz and 30,000 for the 1/2 oz! I doubt that there are enough Looney Tune fans to absorb all the coins.

Plus I dont see the 2015 on the perth site @Northerncoins: The mintage of 1oz Proof is 5.000 Might be the High Relief coin will be 10.000. sorry for misleading. Perth issued, GovMint distibutor. On their site you will see mistakenly posted BU - but the sales rep after verification assured me that it is traditional Proof. And it already on ebay - live pictures - looks so nice. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2015-Austral...em2c9a0cafc4check the certificate - said 5.000

After seeing some pictures, partially take some words back: IMO, the 1oz Set coins not bad at all, there is an effort in design - Proof with Colour (Sylvester is nice) The 14kt gold one and the "crated" silver - "stickers" - RCM should be done "WB" enameled logo with the small (even coloured) heads of characters. 1kg coins - got my approval. 1/2oz's - according to the price will have "matte" finish. Might be will pick up for fun the "all the characters together" coin.

"Beep" "Beep" - Quite a selection...something for everyone...
The 1/2 oz box looks incredible...on its own. But if to focus on coins only...I best like the coins that have some stamping...not just some applied photo as seen with the gold coin...and the 1 oz silver. The Gold will still likely do well with hard core collectors especially with very low mintage.
The 2oz silver are my favorite as they depict classic scenes from the cartoon series...not just some image of a character...plus relatively low mintage - these will be highly sought out from Tunes fans.
Like the 2oz and 1/2 oz best of all...from design perspective. 1/2 oz should be readily available - high mintage.

might be my assumption mistaken, but I do not think, that Looney Tunes fans care about RCM coins. May be small part of the fans. It is only in our thoughts, the fans take home whatever the LT characters appear on. They read, enjoy, research, share the info about animators, cartoon, actors who gave their voices, some data and etc.....but to hunt and specially overpay for precious metal, non legal tender coin - do not think, that this is the case. Added: please remember guys: the kids do not need the coins, given to them. They have no clue what to do with the coin. For them visit to McDonald with Happy Meal + LT toy or Animated movie in the cinema + snacks in your company valued much more.

1st coin sold on ebay, completed listing for $20/4/$34.99. I gotta wonder why somebody would offer it for free shipping and about $15 premium... when there will be a 1/4 million offered at $20 with free shipping - direct from the mint. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2015-Canada-...em19fed1962c

Just a question -Did everyone that wanted a gold coin get one? How many ended up being disappointed in the way RCM handled the gold coin or any others in this release. MC members get the short end of the stick.

MC members get the short end of the stick. Even people who ordered last week were placed on a waiting list called Waiting list 14. Quote:Will be some action at the EST midnight? Dealers? RCM? No, today is the release for MC members. Last week it was for MC members with a rep. I don't know when the Looney Tune Coins will be released to the public. Next week maybe? The order for coin releases seem to be: 1. MC members with reps. 2. MC members. 3. The General Public.
