It's a really small local bank called Two River Community. I'm not sure where they order them from, but I also sent an order for 2 boxes to Wachovia to see what I can come up with from them. When I first opened the second box I saw a roll with a walker on the end, and got all excited. That roll alone gave me 2 walkers, a franklin and a '64. Another roll had the '76 proof reverse showing on the end, which I thought was a cool find. My sons loving the "Kangaroo penny" as he calls it. One thing I did notice though both boxes said on it that they were inspected and sealed in April, so there's still a lot to be found yet.

Man, so that's what can be found in other parts of the country. I'm definitely living in the wrong place. Good stuff.

Well I guess there is one good thing about living in the most densely populated state, I'm going to have to do a lot more of these to pay my property taxes though. Oh and for you parents out there, if your kid is running amuck just dump $1,000 worth of half dollars on the floor and tell them to have fun. I've had about 30 minutes of peace and quiet already.

I tell ya there are alot of silver halves going around. I'm not sure whats going on but I'm loving it. I found 34 1964s today then I found 29 1965-1969 halves. Me and my wife decided to celebrate so shes making a nice meal and I went and got a couple movies to watch. Ive had a really good week so far, I won the championship for bowling and won 130 dollars bowling. The finding all these halves I think I need to get a couple lottery tickets before my luck runs out.

lol,the problem with finding the box I found today I know I'm setting myself up for a big disappointment on Monday. I'd love to celebrate, but the wife went to the mall today so it looks like I broke even.

I know the feeling. I found 50 wheat pennies in a box before so I went and got another box and only found 8 in that one. The one I found 50 in also had a 1909VDB in it too. I thought for sure the next box would be good also but boy was I wrong the oldest was 1953. Now that was a sick box.

Getting rid of them was not as easy as I thought. Went to the local Commerce bank and the bag filled up really quickly. When the teller came over to put a new bag in I saw that the bag limit was set at $100. I asked her to up the bag limit amount as I had lots more halves and she shrugged me off. So I sat there and went through about half of them as she switched bags every $100 worth. I gave up and went to a different branch of Commerce. I filled that bag up almost immediately there and the teller switched the bags out. I looked in and that one was setup for $500 bag limit. I mentioned the other branch and he said that theirs was setup for $100 but that one of his regulars comes in with so many halves that they changed it. I guess I found someones dump bank, lol. The cool thing was that he threw in all the change that didn't make it into the bags into my pile, which came to about $3 so at least that paid for my gas.

Went through $525 in halves today... All normal with the exception of 1x Franklin 1963 1x Kennedy 1966 40% 1x Incredibly Toned Bicentennial Kennedy and last but not least 1x Error 1973 Kennedy that has a buldge on each side in the same spot as if there was something in middle of it between the layers...

just went through $350 worth (the most I've done in quite some time) and can up with 2 40% and that's about it. Kinda disapointing to be honest--lately I've just been buying small amounts under $50 and have been having much more luck.
here's to next time --gary

Here's the 1976 Proof I found in the $1000 I've gone through. I'd post the Walkers and the Franklins but they are pretty worn. I wasn't expecting to see this.

It is a shame when a proof gets spent by someone that does not know about them. But Ericnh rescued it!
