The same amount and scenario was posted on another forum and they demanded pictures but the auyhor if the same person did not reply. As much as halves been hunted it seems hard to believe that it happened. Pictures would certainly be a good indicator of the authors veracity to their story.

I was in a liquior store and I asked the attendant if he had any half dollars and wanted to sell it to me at more than face value. I said no thanks. Was I wrong? Should I have looked at it closely and made a deal with him? Maybe I will next time. I was not in the mood that itme.

Got a box from Brinks: Here are some interesting finds:

1 1937D walker;
1 1960 Ben;
1 2008S proof half;
1 navy seal half ;
1 genuinely worn half(not from casino);
a few 90% and 40%; over 10 2005Ds.

The 1937D goes to the empty hole in my book

In my area silver is pretty much picked clean. I bought $100 from the bank teller that had $250 in rolls. They were a dump. When find all 2005s in 1 roll and other such it's depressing in a way.

The search continues.

Went through $764.50 of halves today looking for silver. The $4.50 was all one bank had. Got a 1976 silver clad from it. Otherwise a '67 clad,62 Ben and a 1985 proof, slightly circuilated. Sure beats the one '67 in $1000 the last time.
Oh yeah got two $500 boxes coming tomorrow.

I also got 23 2005-P's in a box a couple weeks ago. Has anyone found out if they were put into circulation? The 2008 and 2009 Red Book says YES, but everyone I have asked says it must be a TYPO. The 2006 book says they WERE NOT put in circulation. I don't have a copy of the 2007 book. The mintage was higher for '05 compared to the other years, so maybe they were.

Yeah, I've always thought the post-2002 Kennedys to be NIFC.

I actually got three 2003 P halves from the bank today. I am not sure where they came from, but they are in great condition.
