Is anyone here from or around Pensacola, Florida area. If so, is it worth trying a box of halves from a bank? Thanks.

I am still waiting to find that 1804 Dollar in the Coin Star - then I would really be able to sell it and retire!

Picked up $136 today in customer wrapped rolls from two banks.

$128 at one bank had no silver but two NIFC (07D, 08P) and about a full roll was BU 76D (these BU coins were actually scattered across multiple rolls). Unusual.

The other $8 was loose and one was a 90% Ben Franklin (52D).

My 2008 totals

5188 coins searched ($2594; 2000 coins were from Fed boxes, rest from customer-wrapped rolls)
Finds (all from customer-wrapped, none from Fed boxes)
40%- 84 (1.7%)
90%-7 (6 JFK, 1 Franklin 1952D)
PF silver clad-1 (76S)
PF silver-1 (76S)
PF clad-1 (96S, 86S)
NIFC-2 (07D, 08P)
1974D DDO- 1

Better box this week.
2x Franklin half
1x 90% Kennedy half
8x 40% Kennedy half
And a strange Chinese commemorative gold colored token (1997 Hong Kong unification) really got me going when I opened the roll though :)

I am in Honolulu for business and decided to try my luck. I picked up twenty dollars in customer wrapped rolls and found 14 90 percent Kennedy's and one 1958 Franklin. I am going back tomorrow to see if they have more!
