Thank you, thq. I like branch-mint early Seated quarters as well, but boy are they hard to get nowadays. That 1861-S is quite nice, and a very scarce coin, per Coinfacts with a surviving population of only 60
coins. That is scarce or rather, rare.

thq, I am jealous, you have an 1846 Half Dime. I'm still searching for one.

Rarest I have as far as mintage goes are 3 1832 Half Cents, one of each Cohen variety. The mintage is purportedly 51,000 for the year.

I had a similar thread in the Main Coin forum https://goccf.com/t/198297. Although I didn't limit it to just U.S. coins. ALOT of interesting coins/tokens there.

For me, my lowest is still the 1893 PR Indian cent (2195) pictured in the above thread. My lowest business strike is an 1899 Morgan. (330,00).

If grades made it rare, I have a proof 70 ASE, and NGC only has a population of like 8k (citation needed)
If all die varieties count, I have an 1803 large cent that has a spooky ghost 3 (R4)
If world coin counted, I have an Aussie Kookaburra with a mint age of 500k

But, since those don't count, my rarest coin, off the top of my head, (I likely have rarer, but I'm on vacation) a 1962 proof nickel! With a mintsge of 3 million!

Here is my best Peace dollar. It has a color clash on the reverse. Bot too common on Peace dollars. It is REALLY nicely struck. This is probably my most valuable coin.
