Well, no medalic alignment errors, but I am much more pleased at the quality of the coins themselves. Don't really see any rim issues on either, and the polishing is much more subdued in these. Only thing I wonder is if the capsules themselves are recycled from rejects sent back because they both have small chips in one spot as if that was where a screwdriver (or whatever tool they would use) was entered to pry it open.

That's good news about the polishing being more subdued. Hopefully they'll send me a replacement as I requested.

Does anyone know if this coin in its capsule can fit in the slot in the 2009 URH box? I wouldn't mind picking up one of those boxes as a presentation case if the coin would fit in the slot.

I don't think it will as the 2009 UHR diameter of 27 mm compared to the 2015's 30.61 mm listed on the mint's specification page.

The 2009 was also a thicker planchet.

If you just watched "Coin Collector", which just went off the air not too long ago, you'll know which grape vine Hollywood likes to frequent.

Thanks Meadow, for what we paid, it would have been nice if they issued a similar type of box for presentation (although I do wonder if the cases are the same diameter as I don't think the depth will make much of a difference).

I just flipped to it for a few to get a good laugh in. His Bloviations are amusing. My dad got sucked in a while ago and got a couple of 70 ASE's and a couple of 64 kennedy tdo's. I had to put a stop that pretty quickly. But it goes to show how he appeals to the same demographic as all those William Devane commercials on fox news.

My mom came in and watched a few minutes with me. I warned her as a rule of thumb that whatever they sell is probably double what you can find online.

After a few minutes, her comment about Mike, "Geeze, for a guy who sells coins that requires holding them and using his hands, you would think he'd get a manicure."

I just received mine on Friday. I didn't order until it was already in the "back order" status. I have to say, I am very impressed. It looks great with the naked eye. I haven't had a chance to look at it with magnification. I was concerned by reading the previous posts but I am happy.

I am also very impressed with the thickness of the coin...very nice.

The gold coin high relief and all, is an expensive way to get a nice piece of gold. The eagle by Everhart is terrible, again as on his 2008 Bald Eagle recovery silver commemorative, he cannot get the feathers right, and the chicken-like legs, should be thrown back into the pot. Ahh, but the obverse is nice!! I would wait for the silver but Don Everhart kills it for me. I really like the 5 star generals silver coin of 2013, now there is a design on both sides!

I agree.

I have the uncirculated as part of the Profiles Collection.

I will eventually get a proof, but I am trying to hold out and hopefully afford the three coin proof set. The gold kept it out of my budget. One day, one day.
