So I think I am going to try and send the best two for grading just to see what they get and am selling the other three. Also am giving CCF members a chance before they go up on the bay. Just to see what they get especially since the one or two graded coins on ebay (69s) are bidding over $200 already! Can't wait to see the Eisenhowers! :D

Not to throw a wrench in your plan but....the present 69 with 7 hours to go is at $265...yes, it includes the silver medal but the raw sets are getting $122-129 so, by my math, that's $130-140 extra FOR A 69! (He sold three 69's for $189 BIN before smarting up and making this one an auction..still rising) I would say that unless your other RP's really suck then go for the extra $60 and grade them all....if you get a 70 then Cha-Ching Note: no market has been established for these. The ONLY coins for sale are from ONE person with 5...no clue where they will end up

Yeah my thinking is that since I (guy with not too great grading sense) can see tiny marks then I would assume I may even be hard pressed for getting a 69 and am very sure I wouldn't get a 70. But also I thought if I grade them all then by the time I am able to get them back the market would be flooded with them and the price would come way down. Seems to be how it works anyways. So just one or two that I am keeping for now graded would only be about $35 bucks or so (since moderns are $16 a piece) that way I would know what the best get and that the others would most likely be lower. But before that happens I still gotta sell the other three before my wife lets me spend anything more lol

Modern Special is $20/coin..plus shipping both ways...plus $8 handling per order. Point was that the shipping/handling for 5 would be right around the same as two... But go with your gut....I recently sent in 7 W ASE's, two which were borderline....all seven came back MS70's. Go figure... These have the definite potential to be the key of the whole $1 coin series. If they ever raise the mintage on the next 3 issue it will be cemented...and..there is no way the HH limits will stay at 5...so a rare opportunity sitting in a box in your house... Just sayin'

Oh I must be reading the pcgs fees page wrong... so what would the price be for sending in 2 and then 5 RP trumans? It wouldn't be the $16 for modern?

Ahhh...since there has been no guidance from PCGS (normal) I was referring to NGC...the $20 gets you Early Release and Truman label(whether you believe in it or not it is worth the couple of bucks)...vs. PCGS where First Strike cost more than the grading ($18 additional) and no clue what the label will be. NGC has been upfront with their submission requirements for this issue and is where I will be sending my coins... http://www.ngccoin.com/news/viewart...rticle=4723&

Kairu, grading questions aside, if it were me and my wife said I needed to make X amount before I could buy again then I would be selling my bullion or cull coins. You dont have relatively much $ in them and if it goes the way fox said, which is HIGHLY likely, you will regret getting rid of ANY of them. But it's your decision to make

True. The reason I was going with PCGS is because there is an authorized dealer/submitter? nearby and I don't have a membership to either so I didn't think I could send them to NGC without the membership... don't want to pay that. lol Wonder if possible to find an NGC member to get them sent in through?

Just as a side note...for sh**s and giggles I went to the NGC coin forum today to see what they had to say about this issue....and was shocked... This is a key issue and my post was the first in a week and they seem to be TOTALLY clueless about the potential for this product. A bit of whining but no insight into the potential. This (CoinCommunity) forum is definitely right on top of what is going on with most issues and it is a HUGE benefit to those who read it.... "Live long and prosper my friends"

Well he got suck grades from his employer He lives less than two hours south of Sarasota ...I just hope he didn't pay for express grading ($125/coin 48 hours...$60/coin 72 hours) No way could he ship them and receive them back in that time period to put them up for auction..he had to have a pick up deal in place

Kairu, you can buy a membership to the ANA for $30 and that gives you the ability to submit to ngc Im thinking of doing it since I only have pcgs but I'm unsure of how quickly you will be able to submit to them after buying the ANA membership. I also have to call pcgs and see if they're offering a first strike label. That said are FS labels really gonna gain much of a premium with this one?

Well and it does seem PCGS graded go for a little more... we will see. I am stopping by the place after work to see how much it would cost to get them sent off and graded.

Logic and common sense would say "no way" but....when has that ever worked ...and you could look at it in reverse...since all of them will be FR/ER eligible then then non-FS/ER slabs should sell for less...everyone will expect that designation....takes some thought to grasp that one...
