I think the reference to the S mint coins was actually appropriate. There are already Coin & Chronicle sets - prior to the addition of the Reverse proofs... The C&C will also skip Nixon and Ford and there will be a Reagan RP...
The S minted quarters showed up in the middle of an ongoing series - you guys are so focused on the RP - you seem to think the series started with them.

Maybe: the s mint ATB qtrs started in 2012 the series started in 2010 the pres dollars started in 2007 and the rp pres dollars started in 2015 complete pres set will be caught up in a couple of years 9 years(left)so far 36 to date current of 44 obama ! A pres can be in office up to eight years the series will have to stop when caught up.

Fox... your set started with them - my set started with the other Coin & Chronicles. If you are only collecting RP then your set started with Truman.

Quote: ..and Hollywood...my comments re: 70 sets getting to the $1000 range was directed to NGC sets just to keep aplles and apples together...I don't mean this to be a bad thing...$1000 for a $57 set (plus grading) is nothing to dismiss...and "near future" would be in a couple to few weeks
MCM set ends tonight....presently at $1057 Ended at $1175

Hey fox, I hear ngc might publish their pop reports soon. Keep on the lookout. Can't wait to see what their 69/70 ratio is

Sheesh those sealed boxes are selling for double what my double got lol I wonder when it will end... wonder how much a full set of the C&Cs this year would bring with all four?

Quote: wonder how much a full set of the C&Cs this year would bring with all four? Exactly..It will be an interesting second half of the year... ...and...a raw set just sold (an hour ago) for $225 including shipping so a box of 5 at $1175 would be appropriate I should add.... I have been doing this for MANY years and this raw set is NOT following the normal price pattern. Usually the price is high at the start of flipping and drops significantly as the product is delivered to the regular people by the Mint..and then maybe a rise down the road.... this product has finished shipping and the raw "glut" has already hit the market...and...the price continues to climb....helps when the "glut" is tiny I guess The graded coins are performing normally though....

So it seemed like the raw sets are doing better than the 69 sets? I saw quite a few of the 69s sold for below $200. Am I missing something?
