I already confirmed it is PMD on the "clip" Irregular shape and no tapered rims.

This could have just been a bad planchet, hard to make a determination without seeing it in hand.

Can't see this defect as anything but PMD. Detail is at least XF but the grainy surfaces are a significant problem.

The Classic large cents are notoriously difficult to find problem-free. This piece might serve as a decent type example since it does offer a lot of detail. The price IMO should be maybe one-third of what a problem-free XF+ example would cost.
