I wonder what would happen if you shook the machine ? Would it scream out TILT or spill out a bunch of nice collector coins ?

Yeah, it's a standard 1" capsule machine, but where do you get the graphics? I did some brief research and couldn't find that one.

I noticed the pic of the front of the vending machine shows a dollar bill....Unsure how they would package a bill into that little capsule without it being ruined...I assume it's for show only though... My LCS has an old Gumball Machine that they fill with capsules of old That is really cool that it is in a gas station. I know I would give it a few quarters just to see what I get. |

I bought myself a Gumball Machine that dispenses 1.5 inch capsules for a loonie. I filled the capsules up with 3 foreign coins each. First coin show I paid off everything. Only problem now is finding more capsules. Canadian shipping will kill you, I will have to get a Maine post box. I also want to get a Gumball Machine that takes quarters. I plan to do a black gumball=silver dollar yellow=silver half etc. It is NOT gambling in New Brunswick because you are guaranteed to get something no mater what (a gum ball). That is why the claw machines here let you play until you win a secondary prizes. Sorry for the necro but I just wanted to say that gumball machines rock! Those dads that bring their children LOVE it. |

Well I love it, it is really fantastic and I would feed it a heap of change but to me the most amazing thing ever is the way Mike Tyson avoided about 10 punches in a row then knocked Reggie Gross out with a single overhand right. That and the history of the universe... that's maybe the MOST amazing.
Machines like this have got to be good to get kids into the hobby...and that can't be a bad thing.

Wow- I actually dreamt about something like this just a couple weeks ago. And no, this is the first time I read this thread or heard of one of these. I imagined a machine that gave you a choice of what you got, and dispensed rarer coins at higher prices. It was located in a Costco or Safeway. It even had silver certificates.
This is really neat- if I found one I would go to the bank, get a box of quarters, search them and then spend, spend, spend.

You can do that with a standard machine designed to vend candy bars or bags of chips. The widths of the slots are adjustable and you can program the individual slots for whatever price you want. The spiral "spring" will dispense slabs with no problem. ( TPG slabs,or for lower value items, a raw coin in a generic shell.) Set it a little wider and it can probably handle paper money sleeves with no problem. But those machines are a lot more expensive than the gumball machines. Edited by Conder101

How about this: A machine that dispenses gold eagles, but you need to put in a double eagle to get one out. That would really mess with people.
