. Couldn't get to the heads side because the coin is pressed in pretty tightly.

I just sent 10 of my 15 to NGC only because they looked great....MUCH better that the Chronicles sets

...and you are absolutely right about those PIA capsules...easy to get out of the package but IMPOSSIBLE to get out of the capsule. Guess NGC will use a screwdriver or something.

...and yes, a lot of crap in those capsules.

So the NGC submission instructions say that the part of the package holding the coin must be intact. Does that mean I just get a pair of scissors and cut the whole flap off?

Yup...snip, snip

Edited to add: ummm...read the survey thread on this subject. I read it too late

These are now on backorder until Sept. 20th. Whatever happened to Sept. 13th?

Not really, just a RADAR type number after the 911. Don't know much about paper currency and what people who collect such things get excited about.

Even so there are still quite a few left. I wonder if the HH limit will be removed.

And by the way they don't appear to be on backorder.

Changing the HH limit may cause a sellout. Personally, I wouldn't buy any more. Got my 5 and that's 3 too many.

Likewise. Happy with my 5; I'll probably gift some of these.

Did anyone here notice the edge lettering orientation only faces towards the obverse on the dollar coin?

Here's the CoinWorld article discussing this. http://www.coinworld.com/insights/e...rs.all.html#
