I didn't, but now that I know it'sa now done by the collar instead of a secondary machine, that explains something else I noticed. On the edge at 6:00, there's a thin raised ridge. If it's a 3 part collar, I'm guessing there's also one at 10:00 and 2:00 (like a Dr. Pepper coin). That's why they are so difficult to remove from the capsules.

Informative article. I didn't see it mentioned but it should be noted that proof Native American and Presidential dollar coins are minted with the same 3-piece collar steup that results in the edge inscription facing up with respect to the obverse. Interesting that the 2015 EU is struck the same way.

Ah, so the 2015 is minted the same way they have done the proof coins. Interesting.

I noticed the same thing on a bullion 5oz ATB. In my opinion, it kind of makes the coin look cheap, almost like it was cast instead.

If by "this set" you mean all coin and currency sets, then the answer is no. There have been several over the years. If by "this set" you mean coin and currency sets that contain Sacagawea dollars, then they were issued in 2000, 2004, 2014 and now 2015. Note that the Sacagawea dollar from the 2000 set has a special proof like finish that only came in the set. As far as I know, there's nothing special about the 2004 Sacagawea dollar that came in the 2004 set. If by "this set" you mean coin and currency sets that contain Sacagawea dollars with the enhanced uncirculated finishes, then 2014 and 2015 are the only years. The 2014 sets are going for about $40 on ebay.

So according to the article, there should be more of the 2015 EU Sac coins in higher grade than 2014.

How's this for a mishap by the mint. I sent back 4 of the sets a week ago (I noted this on the website and return invoice). Well when I got the confirmation email, they listed it as five; sure enough I got a refund for 5 minus the original shipping cost. Today, I got a voicemail from a supervisor at the mint asking that I call them back to authorize the charge for $15. I'm now on hold with customer service because this was the first time she's had this happen, so is now trying to ask her supervisor how to get this done.

Update: Looks like the accounting department needs to call me on Wednesday to approve the new charge. Unfortunately, they can't put in a couple Kennedy C&C sets at the same time for me. :D

In the past, I have sent coins back for refund and the 'short-changed' me by 2 sets or 1 set....
This is the first time I've heard that they did the opposite.

I got my 3 sets today. I must say, I am quite taken by the enhanced finish...wow! The notes are nice & crispy but they are not sequential. My only regret is not buying last years set.
