A link to the coin would be helpful, but Mussolini never appeared on any Italian coins, just fantasy pieces.

Oh, no, he's definitely on there. Kind of hard to miss that bald look of superiority.

OP, check the condition on it, and then search the "sold" auctions to see what similar prices have been paid. That would be the best reference.

Was that a contemporary circulating issue? Not listed in the Krause catalog.

I couldn't see Mussolini indulging himself with silver plated coins in 1945. He would have had a few more important things on his mind.

Thank you all so far for your responses.... I apologize, the coin is dated 1943, Not 1945....Here is the link for the Mussolini coin I have...I found it on NGC Website...http://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/...-duid-339918 ...It says the value is $35.00 MS-63 and says that the coin is Silver, but don't say how much Silver content is in it....One seller on ebay was only selling this coin for only about $12.00, but I am leery as I wanted to know the Silver content of it....Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thank you friends!

They are fantasy coins. Produced post-1945 (presumably for the die-hard fascists). The 1945 version states the date of his death (28-04). There are similar post-war 'coins' that feature Adolf Hitler.

Because they were not circulation coins I could not envisage buying any of them for my own collection.
