USArmyParatrooper Pillar of the Community United States 1283 Posts	Posted 01/07/2008 6:02 pm OK, I have the opportunity to buy a: 1972 DDO Die #1 PCGS MS-65 Red and Brown. Recent Heritage close auction prices show about $690 for pure Red. He's asking $650 plus tax, bringing it to just over $700. But here's the thing. The toning is only on the obverse, and it's a BEAUTIFUL rainbow tone. Should I go for it? Report this Post to the Staff

mycrob Pillar of the Community United States 2602 Posts	Posted 01/07/2008 8:49 pm I think it is just a little too high if it were not rainbowed. How often does a nice rainbow toning come along on a key coin? Usually people are willing to pay the premium for rainbows. Report this Post to the Staff
