Jbuck's gonna kill me... I was trying to read that signature on the medal before I read it was eisenhower and I came out thinking why Dolph Lundgren had a signature coin. Like it was his Mensa membership token or something

@FoxwoodsMan, Do you think the Kennedy set will fair better after they are sold out at the mint?

A question about the silver medal, is it an ounce?

The silver medal is 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams) 99.9% silver.

All of the silver medals since TR's C&C are made on one ounce ASE blanks. They are all 40.6mm and fairly hefty in hand.

I guess you have to put it in perspective...

If you bought a 2014 W ASE from the Mint for $40 it now sells for $48.95...a 2015 for a tad less

If the Kennedy stays at $85-89 that would be a decent % gain over the normal Mint product.

If it sells for more that's great also.

I think some have gotten spoiled by the Truman set and now expect 300-400% on their purchase...

There IS a difference between 17k and 50k...

Now 25k? Hmmm..potentially interesting

My set made it to the ATL today and as of about an hour ago was outbound for Charlotte. I might actually see this thing Monday.

Ditto jbuck - but mine has about 9 more hours of road travel to cover than yours. Maybe Monday? Interesting. I wondered if I opted for the cheapest snail mail option with such an early order if it would make a difference.

Mine's in Dallas as of today. Estimated delivery is Thursday to Austin. What? That seems a bit silly to me, but whatever.

Mine too, but I bet we see them Wednesday. Last time they hit Dallas on a Thursday and we got them Tuesday.

Under promise, over deliver.

Mine actually says expected delivery is Thursday. My orders have always come two or three days early. I think FedEx assumes that every mail carrier is like Newman.

Time for a "what really grinds my gears segment." You know what really grinds my gears? When the package coming via UPS made it to its last stop before delivery on Friday night, but they won't let you pick it up as will call on Saturday (the facility does will call pickups until 2PM on Saturday), so it sits in the facility taking up space all weekend until Monday. I would think they'd want it out of their possession ASAP if they had the chance, but I guess not.
