When only one side has an issue like that, you have a misaligned die or MAD. General rule of thumb is that if any part of the coin is "cut off" then you are looking at a premium. Yours is SO CLOSE but no cigar--worth a few cents at most. Still a keeper in my book however!

Your photo shows a 1968-D. IMHO it it not a MAD but a normal coin for that year.

The master hub (that has been used for several years) is now reaching its usefulness. So in 1969 they created a new master die. Thus the difference in obverse design.
