Just bought a set and it was smooth sailing on their website.

Missed the noon release but got my order in around 12:30 Eastern, along with a few other little goodies. Smooth sailing on the web site.

Can't wait for these to show up in my mailbox.

I am looking forward to it, of course.

By the way, I just got the release e-mail from the Mint. Always slow, that one.

I just remembered what I had posted on the second page...

Since the Reagan set can stand on its own, like FDR in 2014 and Teddy in 2013, maybe we will get something extra in this set. Perhaps a bronze medal, like the two Roosevelt sets had.
At least I got that part right.

Good job JBuck!

Been busy here at work today so I just got my order placed for 2.
One to keep intact and one to open.

I ordered a set, but with little enthusiasm. I had purchased each of the previous C&C sets primarily for the silver presidential medal. With the medal being dropped from the Reagan C&C Set, it was far less appealing to me.

Do you think they sold more than 20K today? I'm going to wait and add one to different order to save on shipping somewhere down the line. These sets will be around for awhile it would seem.

I have to agree. I really wanted it to be like the other sets.

I will try to be optimistic. The bronze medal helps (it would have been even worse without it). This is only my second ASE. The only other one I have is in the 7070.

Just a feeling ... but seems like there was not as much CCF interests,
as there has been on past sets.

----------------

Also ... I am going to make another mint order in a couple weeks.
One of the coins I plan on buying then is a proof ASE. For my
set of proof ASE's

I am wondering if I should buy another of these sets, to bust out the
ASE for my ASE set ... then have a extra reverse proof.

Something I will have to think about

That's due to the high mintage limit. I knew when the Truman came out with a 17k limit it was going to be a winner. That made me want to talk about it. Though I like Reagan more, everyone who wants one of these will get it, so there's not much to say.

GR58, that is what I am planning to do. Since I need a Reagan reverse proof for my small dollar album and I usually buy a proof silver eagle, one of the sets I ordered today is coming apart.

Also, I went on ebay and bought me an empty 2016 Proof SAE box for $4, which is where the silver eagle will land once I receive my Reagan C&C sets.

captainrich, you copied my exact idea. I have not bought the Silver Eagle OGP off ebay yet because I want to be 100% sure whether or not I'll need the capsule.
