The 1909 woody is sure something. To bad it has a big test cut.

Quote: Totally unsearched! Came from my neighbor's grandfather's estate! Untouched for 50 years! (The Easter Bunny told me so!) I didn't see that until after my last post. I'm very happy with them, thanks a lot! There were a few that still had some red hanging on around the rims- a 1942, 50-D, and a few from the late 50s.

Got my package yesterday...wife told me today! Thank you Santa in Canada! Lovely set. Will post pix when I'm not half dead from working 8am-8pm on Star Wars opening night. The Force is Strong.

Quote: Santa came early this year! He brought me 5 rolls of wheaties. I haven't had a chance to search them yet, but I pulled one out at random and it was a decent looking 1918. I'll post the results when I get a chance! When the package came, my dad almost recycled it because he thought it was a phone book at first. Good thing he didn't! Thanks, JGFindring! Wow! That's a seriously cool gift!

I agree with you BadToTheBone.
What I sent is very nice, at least in my opinion lol, but is definitely not going to be more valuable than a ot of what has been posted.
That being said, I don't really care about competition. I picked out what I think my person will enjoy.
I can tell you that I will enjoy whatever my secret santa gift as long as it does not fall out and smash my toe!
I am debating how to mark mine for posterity. I guess I should wait until it arrives before thinking to hard. LOL

Santa visited my house again. This time was a set of 4 Russian Sochi Olympic commemorative coins. They will fit in with my small but ever growing foreign collection. Thanks again Santa for all.

If you have a strike-through your name it means you have received your gift
once we are clear on the list I will remove the names of all of those that have a strike-through
Thanks Santa[/size=3]

Please Remember It is not the size or the Value of the gift that is important It is the spirit of giving we try to encourage. There are many "humble" members of the forum that the cost of a $5 value coin/banknote + postage is a great sacrifice.
Please do not feel bad if your gift is not as "Great" as some other person.
We want all to enjoy the experience
Happy Holidays Santa is glad so many gifts are already arriving

I was not expecting anything in the mail today and there it was. I guess that's how it happens. 2 40% Kennedy halves 65 and 66 (I have a 64 and a bunch of walkers, but no 40% till now), a 1915 D Wheat penny, 1913 Type 1 Buffalo, 1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty quarter, a 1931 UK Large Penny that looks really great (my first one), a 1976 quarter that I've always been a fan of and a really cool wooden nickel from a Omaha, a city that has always been very good to me (the two times I have been there). Thanks ChildOfTheWheat!

It seems like most people are telling their assignment who they are. I guess I'll say when my assignment posts his package.
