Quote: Many of these coins are already in the hands of dealers, CCF members and MC members so it is very surprising that so few are listed. Since Tuesday, Nov. 10, was the day that it came widely available, most will be delivered next week. They are not going ship out 2000 coins in one day. For me, orders take 1 week to reach me on the West Coast. Maybe a few have gotten them last week, but most will get them this week. Only a few CCF members have reported getting their coins on Friday. By the end of next week we should get a better picture of what is going on. I think we see a few more listings soon when more people get the coins.

There are now 2 more listings. Both are auction type listings. Now we will get an idea of what the true value of the coin is. Current bid amount is $160 CDN for the first one (from the Coin Shoppe)and opening bid is $372 CDN for the second coin. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/VOYAGEUR-EXC...AOSwiwVWRXXghttp://www.ebay.ca/itm/VOYAGEUR-EXC...AOSwvt1WSPQ4Now we have 4 listings. More to come for sure. BTW, how did the Coin Shoppe get so many coins? They sold three, have one BIN for $800 and now another at auction. That's five coins.

thats not too hard, just several MC plat or more accounts, and since he would keep up and order instantly, how it goes is, lets say 3 MC plat accounts, call in and order, reps will let the order through of course to get commission, just calling in 3 different times. then order online 3, 1 on each account. and for a dealer like thecoinshoppe, its not hard having 3 or more MC plat accounts, thats only 6000 spent.

I'm pretty sure The Coin Shoppe has folks selling their coins to him. I know I sold my #2 Gold Superman to him which he resold obviously.
I did receive my coin on Saturday (daughter didn't tell me about delivery slip on Fri). It really is outstanding. It'll be interesting to see what this sells for. I will not be selling mine though (unless the price gets ridiculous). It's a definite keeper and love the low mintage.

As mentioned, he is a CP dealer, RCM dealer too, this is probably his allotment, there is no way you would spend 15,000.00 retail at RCM when he could get the coins with massive RCM discounts. Also some collectors could have sold them some. nothing like an auction to gage market value.

Other good sources of coins for resellers (at least here in the Capital) are mint employees. They get discounts, front of the line access and often care about coins as much as potato farmers care about French fries.

so this is the auction on ebay by "The Coin Shoppe" Item ID = 131653457758now on CAD 268 the item is in stock, so this isn't pre-sale. 6 days to go, will be interesting to see the amount that people will be willing to pay for the coin.

My guess around 600.00 unless a whack of BIN shows up this week at lower prices.

Tough room. Potato farmers care about...potatoes. Processor (like the McCains) care about French fries. Similarly, most Mint employees I know care about doing their jobs but they have little interest in coin collecting. Incidentally, I went to school with a couple of the younger McCains. They don't get their hands dirty actually farming the potatoes.

The offer is CAD 250 + Shipping
get it while you can, now!! ....(or buy later for inflated price or wait year or two)
these are "hot", not sure, who buys them, but as truly was mentioned earlier "people go crazy for whatever they can't get"
