Not to be too brash, but most mc couldn't care much over a 70.00 profit on a semi unique coin.

Just picked up at PO, the reverse looks good the obverse those wavy lines and the King's odd finish, just as I said earlier a little too much engineering.

Great find, congrats! if you do not need the coin, it could be couple of hundreds profit. This is good news, that PO also have these... My friend asked for one. He is unaware about 1935 silver dollar, but recall that "yes, some old dollars were with canoe"

There may be a few folks here ran to their PO looking for the coin or been dialing their PO to ask about it. i wonder if this will replace the actual silver dollar commem's... That would be a VERY surprising development. The SD series is Canada's longest-running commemorative series - IMO it seems very unlikely that they would replace an annual best-seller with a far more limited release series. But, of course, anything's possible!

First sorry for last evenings wording, not my intention to miss lead everyone, I doubt this coin will replace the silver dollar yearly set, the RCM seems to sell those sets well. One would think the next coin will be the 1936 the new King's image or the parliament coin, but who know's with the RCM, someone could commission this coin into a lame coloured version.

John if you happened to cause a stampede to local POs - and any of those folk bought other NCLT just on a whim - you could be justified in seeking promotional commission from CP:-)

You are correct, I will have to contact Canada Post for my share of commissions for today's NCLT sales

Quote: i wonder if this will replace the actual silver dollar Not suppose to be. 2000 mintage / CAD 190 / Classic familiar design - good recipe to create a bestseller, but doesn't mean that need to "kill" old good Annual / Special Silver Dollar affordable to all. Will not replace, but might be will be added. John and Wildflower are right - nothing prevents RCM from minting new stuff like this. What about 5oz Silver Dollar? And Nickel Dollar - why not to mint 2 oz Dollar series from nickel.....
