@commems- sent my rep an email this morning with the same photo I posted here, asking him what his thoughts were and waited on the phone at the same time. Had to hang up on the phone call, ran out of time. Was out most of today, but no answer to my email as of the time I got home. Pretty sure out of luck on a new one. Will try to call again tomorrow, tough guy to get a hold of though.

Why are so many finding it so difficult to get through to their reps...when making simple inquiries? Many have expressed frustration with their reps in this regard. Are they really so busy...? What the heck do they do in between releases one wonders?

Quote: Are they really so busy...? What the heck do they do in between releases one wonders? Imagine call center, where 3 divisions: sales, care and tech support. The people all the times get the calls. And our Reps are agents with additional roles. Means, when needed, they take calls from any customers (as everyone), but when the customer, "attached" to particular Rep calls, they will call back. And have dedicated time frame for "placing the orders". Ofcause with the maturity and experience they get more customers and less spend time with regular calls.

I disagree, the senior reps gets most if not all the best customers while the newbees are the ones stuck with a enormous client list, kind of what happens in all business.

You right, John, but at the end, I do not think that they sit in "idle" and wait for the MC to call. They will still receive the calls, if IVR system will see that they are in idle and do not have current assignment.

I think most of the reps are just trying to unload unsold units, but most of us are getting smarter, one hot coin out of over 300 this year

I don't know about trying to 'unload unsold units' but I don't think the reps are sitting idle waiting for us to call them. Often my rep has been 'cold calling' me on the chance that I didn't know about something new, or an update of some sort - he has a good idea of what coins interest me. I can't imagine he isn't doing this for all his clients, in addition to new orders placed on the web site.
I don't know about others, but I have actually met my rep in Ottawa. Actually, he bought me lunch after I visited the Mint.

I have had two reps over the past two years. The first was excellent. The second, while perhaps not as proactive, always keeps me in the loop, and replies to all of my emails or phone calls. Absolutely no complaints on my part.

I received mine today. It is a very impressive coin! The reverse is great, the obverse could have been done differently, but it looks much better in hand than the photos. The real wood case with metal hinges is very high quality.

"If one has a problem with this sellers one should question the RCM as I have said all along this coin was suppose to be a reward for mcs and nothing else, why are they even holding 10% for dealers" RCM don't respond just like their reps. Unless you are ordering. They, like this seller, are "selling coins".

With each release, you'll get an exclusive 45-day period in which to purchase the coins. At least 90% of the mintage for each coin will be reserved for Masters Club members.Repeating something contrary to this multiple times does not make it true. The RCM did exactly what it said it would do with these limited-mintage coins. I don't see the problem.

Quote: If other dealers have up to 220 in hand, it will be interesting to observe what happens next week as they begin rolling out. I believe that there will not be a surge in ebay listings once the dealers are cleared to sell. I am willing to bet that most of these coins are already spoken for. When MC members couldn't close the deal on this coin through the mint then they probably contacted the larger dealers in an attempt to secure a coin. Just my opinion.

Presumably it is just an astute buyer and seller of coins. However, it is the fact of consecutive COAs and the number of coins involved that suggest an arrangement that is at odds with the RCM rules concerning the distribution of these coins.

If one wants to argue over RCM's own wording, there is a 45 days ordering and since there seems to be enough demand for the full 2200 mintage for this coin, the RCM wording at least 90%, why not follow through and sell the other 10% to waiting mc, just a thought.

My first rep kept sending out expensive coins I didn't need. At least most got return to sender since I was in hospital, no one home to sign or go to post office. Now if something shows up that I didn't order, I refuse the package. I've got a new rep since July, so hopefully things will be better. Of course they never thought to send me Canada flag coins, so I am miffed at not getting any. Yet they can send coins over $149-$200 out, but not a circulation pack, an important and desirable one too.
I wonder how long it will be before the Chinese come out with this coin. It will be interesting to see what dealers sell for. I wonder if many have been quietly buying them privately.
When I first started collecting, I mistakenly thought dealers couldn't raise prices until there was a sell out at the mint. I still think this is how it should be, especially since they get big discounts anyway. This would be fairer for those that aren't master club, to get at issue price. This method would truly show whether a coin is popular long term.
What are collectors thoughts on the wavy lines, I find them too distracting in photos that have been posted. I think a plain field is much better.
