So I bought a coin online at a good price, now zooming in there are alot of blobs and errors I'm posting pictures from the place I bought it from. I will upload better ones later. My concerns are the blob that messed up the I in pluribus, and what look like the wing indention on the lower neck..and other things that better pictures would show. I am still confused on what VAM's are.    |

I might be getting the jist of it, so would the top of the Letter I in pluribus be doubling and The clash line on the E on liberty, be a VAM. |

I missed the R. Thanks for the help and thanks for bearing with me. I am a little overwhelmed by it all. I have always collected coins and out them away without thinking. I am new to VAM's I am trying to research all the VAM sites. I'm sure I will get the hang of it. |

Be patient & don't get frustrated. The more you do it the easier it becomes but remember there's always going to be coins that stump you. I've been at it for about 3 years now and still hit dead ends.

I have bad news and good news about VAMming. The bad news is that you can't learn it all in a lifetime. The good news is that for the rest of your life you'll have more to discover and explore.

I think I am going to love it, gives me a reason to keep my coins :) . I have a 21p morgan that I am looking for a VAM. I have a celestron microscope and the eyepieces help alot!  |
