I now have a 2008P and 2008D Kennedy half. In addition to Oklahoma P and D, and Monroe P and D.... as well as an 2008 Silver Eagle. No luck on anything else...... need those shiny 08 cents! |

I just got my first 2008 coins! They were some 2008D nickels I found while roll searching. They were mixed in with other dates - not in solid rolls. I have two boxes of cents to go through so maybe I'll pick up some of those as well.

Well it's not my first but I landed an OK quater today from a bank when I cashed a check. She had the box in the window that was tempting.

Finally got my hand on a Monroe P but that's it. no hope here for any D's anytime soon.

I have searched several boxes of nickels and cents that were dated in March and have even asked many different banks for new coin but have not had any luck yet. This time last year I was able to get new rolls at several banks.

I picked up a few Oklahoma quarters in change at the bar Saturday night. My friend wanted to play drinking games with some girls we met, so I had to scramble to pocket these and use the common non State Quarters. We then decided to play pool and I had to lie to my friend and tell him that I had no quarters left even though a few of the OK quarters were in my pocket. Even while drunk I still manage to find ways to collect. Probably time to get some professional help. :) |

I'm still looking for the first 2008 coin find.
Maybe I should have elaborated a bit more when I posted this topic and said 'Your First find in Circulation"
NOT purchased.
It sure is slow here in NY for these to get around.

I just found my first OK quarter today. Looked nice too, no scratches and very little tarnishing. I also found a beautiful Nebraka D to add to my book.
They are on their way Mila!
