Grabbed a box of nickels at the same bank I picked up my halves... only 16 pre-60s, but two of them were War Nickels (1943-P and 1943-S) and another was a semi-key 1949-S. Also found my first 2009-P of the year along with 3 2009-Ds and a 1953 Swiss 20 Rappen coin. And with this box, another milestone - I am now at exactly 1,300,000 nickels searched overall the past five years. That's the equivalent of 650 boxes. Of note: the dateless Buffalo I found last week turned out to be a 1919.

Did a rare Saturday bank run... grabbed 3,000 nickels total from 4 different banks (2,800 of them were CWR)... only 21 pre-60s and 2 2009-Ds... no Warnicks were found nor Buffaloes were herded, however, a 1955 Philly and a 1950 Philly were amongst one of the groups! The 1955 is only my 13th found in 1,303,000 coins searched - remaining only one of seven Jeffersons that I find less than 1 per 100K coins searched... only the 39-D (3), 50-D (4), 38-D (8), 43-D (9), and 38-S (10) have been more difficult pulls for me... for those wondering, I've found 18 39-S nickels since I started doing this 5 years ago. The 1950 is my 33rd, incidentally.

Bought 3,600 nickels today and got quite a surprise from the last roll of the first batch of 400 CWR coins I searched... The three end coins we're obviously very nice... In all, there were 17 pre-60s in it including a 1938, a key-date 1938-S , and FIVE War Nickels (42-P, 42-S, 44-P, 44-D, 45-S)! Sadly, the obverse of said 1938-S, 1945-S, and the ender 1947-S have some scratches from something... I'm guessing they were in a coin folder and someone (perhaps a kid) used something to scratch them. Still, despite the three damaged coins, quite the great find. I also found a semi-key 1951-S and an ender Buffalo (appears to maybe be a 1925 but am going to "pickle" it for a bit)... The day produced a total of 47 pre-60s. Only two 2009-D nickels showed up in this batch. The five War Nickels also brought me to a milestone I've been looking forward to reaching for a while - 500 War Nickels found. The five tonight brought me to 504 found in my 5 years of searching..
