Thanks, Errers and Varietys and jbuck! The remainder of the box kind of fizzled out, unfortunately, as it sometimes goes with boxes. The only find was a 2009-D. However, I found 2 more War Nickels in 5 Loomis rolls today (not from the previous box), a 1945-P and a 1943-S. Just need that 1943-D to complete my silver nickel collection.

Cheers!

Thanks, Errers and Varietys and jbuck! Found 2 more War Nickels today in some customer rolls, both 1943-P's. I believe these are from the same batch a few weeks ago, from the same branch and with the same wrappers. Gonna hit up that branch again in a few days, just to make sure I've cleaned them out

Don't want to jinx myself, but the War Nickels have been good lately. Even got a few 2009's recently. But the last Buffalo nickel I found was from maybe October last year. Not sure where all the Buffalos went in my area.

Cheers!

Had a surprisingly hot run of WDDR line-in-door nickels from my weekly $20. I set aside 8 tonight. That is way above my estimated average of 1-in-300. Some are definite existing entries, some need better images and research, and it's possible I have at least one new candidate for attribution.

Found this 1923 Buffalo nickel, a 2022-P WDDR-001, a 1944-P War Nickel, and a handful of other interesting nickels in the last two weeks.

I wonder if anyone has checked the progress of this thread towards the goal of 25,000 rolls searched?
