Now, for those who don't know, it appears we might have a nickel repeat of 2009 in the works: To date, the Philadelphia mint has only made 36,720,000 2024-dated nickels, the Denver mint has only made 29,760,000 2024-dated nickels. I can't confirm finding a 2024-dated nickel so far this year (all of my searching has been in the L.A. and Las Vegas areas)... anyone else had any luck finding one? But I was not aware of the slow production and did not pay them any attention. I'll pick up two nickel boxes this week and report back on how many (if any) 2024s are in them. In Cincinnati we usually get a good mix of Philadelphia and Denver coins. Report this Post to the Staff

Usually by this time of the year I would have ended up with a complete box of bright shiny current date nickels. I'm in the southeast Michigan area. Report this Post to the Staff
