I was just on the mint web site and the K13 set is still available. Thought that sold out a few months ago.

K13 is the 2014 Four-coin 50th Anniversary Silver Kennedy half dollar set.

As of Jan. 3, 219,021 sets have been sold out of a 225,000 product limit. With an average of 250 sets sold each week recently, the set will probably be around for quite a while.

Interestingly, the set originally had a product limit of 300,000 when it went on sale Oct. 28. The Mint then reduced the limit to 225,000 sets on Nov. 24.

Wow, I had no idea it was still available. I really like mine. I am tempted to grab a second set now.

It's a great set; very happy with mine.

As of last week total sales were 219,021 with minimal recent activity. Could take a while to sell out the remaining 5.8k.

I've seen a few sell on ebay for under $90 (add in ebay and Paypal fees and some seller / speculator is on the losing end)

Yeah, I got one on the bay for $90. I'm sure it had been cherry picked, but it looked no worse than the one I got from the mint. I picked up a graded-70 ANACS set from the bay for $105 shipped.

I picked up two just to have, thinking I'll keep one in OGP and put one in a Dansco or something if an album manufacturer ever produces an album with holes for these. Sure I thought about the long-term and possibly flipping, but it's clear these guys won't be a windfall any time soon.

Nice pickup on the 70 set 01GTB.

Man, I remember the hype and subsequent crappy performance of the US Mint web site for this release!

Why I am considering the second set. I have been using blank half dollar pages since page five, so I can certainly fit them in.

I also have my Kennedy half dollars spread among multiple albums, four pages max.

My Kennedy 8166 is a four page 5/8" album with no room for more pages. It ends with 1991, but there are two extra holes at the end which are occupied by duplicate 1964 and 1964-D half dollars for a nice bookend. Rather than upgrade the binder, knowing how heavy this album was now, I opted to go the blank custom route. I really love having one year per row.

They really are heavy albums! That's one of the things I love about them.

I can definitely see that.
