It was a DDO, until the circulation flattening altered it a bit. The clue is the 44. Note the upright and the cross bar on the 4's. Your first 4 shows this on that area. It may have been 1944S-1DO-004? http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds
On DO-11 I am not seeing anything. I am having trouble with these. I just looked through around two hundred 1944 P-D-S and found about 20 possibles. Either I am not getting what to look for (most likely) or these are kinda common? What are the tell-tail signs I should focus on? Thanks all, John1
