Besides the obvious meaning of empty stock, the "awaiting stock" is the way to slow down the selling process to make certain coins available for the low level MC and public.
The general public is not able to view the monthly offerings at any time prior to the official launch date, for the Egg coin that day is today as I'm able to view it on their website but not yesterday. By the time of that official launch, all MC members have already had an opportunity to view it in accordance with X days advance entitlement. For example I think it was Pocket Change, a silver MC member, who was able to view it on RCM's website about 2 working days ago, Once the official launch date has arrived, RCM has absolutely no reason to slow down the selling process if their stockroom is full. Quite the opposite - "hurry buy now"!

We have here 2 collectors that were interested in the coin due to their roots / friends. That's all.
Silveroid, yes indeed it was to have been a sleeper month. Oh well, live and learn.....

Not every time coins are available to general public. And if you are talking about pysanka coin, then almost all dealers already empty, regardless of the RCM's alleged tactic.

What other NCLT can you think of that's been sold out before the official release date? As far as dealers, the success of RCM is heavily dependant upon dealers buying and then selling their NCLT products. Their relationship is much like the chicken and the egg (although RCM came first:-). But they are most certainly not in competition with one another if that's what you're referring to, dealers are another of RCM's distribution chains.

With only a mintage of only 3000 and most of them presold to series subscriptions, singles have been selling fast. I think the March coin was Awaiting Stock before the release date. Even looks like they are hard to get from dealers too.

Yes that's an example although subscription series are somewhat different because the subscribed portion of the mintage is essentially sold in advance as opposed to monthly. I was thinking more along the lines of an example similar to a one-time issue, such as the Pysanka.

Both John and Silveroid, voices of reason. But I've got to say, so early in the year it surprises me that others are already geared up to find flipping opportunities. I suppose it might be to mitigate last year's losses. To those who think flipping i$ big time $$$, just something to consider. RCM is a profit-driven company owned by the Govt of Canada - that they sustain or increase profit is their primary goal, it's not for you to money reselling their stuff. You can be assured if current reduced mintages frequently get sold out prior to the official release date, they will simply increase future mintages. Full circle, then the market gets flooded with too much NCLT, not enough buyers, resell prices plummet. History repeats itself....

Simply put, with lower mintage if any of these coins garnered gaga status, there is enough mc to eat them all up, I could be wrong but other than the 2 oz. voyageur what coin in last 12 months you can't buy at or below issue. Take the dome coin, kind of neat but to commemorate a fire, one would think there are better themes, next will be a hockey puck to celebrate John Scott's MVP.

You could get the birthstone coin from CDN Coin Currency: http://www.cdncoin.com/2016-5-Birth...32072084.htmAlso from Colonial Acres: http://www.colonialacres.com/produc...xempt-149981

Quote: I think $115 for the Ukrainian Pysanka is affordable for most East European coin collectors. That's just my opinion, of course, and I'm sticking to it until I'm proven wrong, in which case I will eat the coin. Whew! I'm just happy that I don't have to eat the coin...not yet anyway.
